Hardlink USMT 4.0  - "%_SMSTSUserStatePath Question

Hi

Question 1:

I have SCCM 2007 and I'm start implmenting the hardlink to migrate our Windows XP to Windows 7

Now, theirs a entry in task sequence regarding the "Value" for set local state location  that you example below

Because , I confused if I need to put value "%_SMSTSUserStatePath%"  or "C:\Storeme"   ???

I see this example what I need to put in the value either  "%_SMSTSUserStatePath%"  or value "C:\Storeme"   ??

In case I point to  value "C:\Storeme" do I need to create that folder ???

Name: Set Local State Location

Task Sequence Variable: OSDStateStorePath

Value: %_SMSTSUserStatePath%

Question 2:

Btw, during the wifing where the files is save ?

Change the Set Local State Location to "C:\Storeme". Make sure that this directory exists.

Create the directory before running the hardlink step.

The files will be saved on their own location. Actully the files will not be copied anywhere, but left intact on their own location and remembers the location.
